We will never go through an agent again after going through this experience. It has really opened our eyes in seeing how far real estate agents will go to have you sign with them. They lie their way into getting their foot in your place, some even calling and making appointments posing as a potential buyer and if you don't sign with them, they make long stories how selling privately is high risk and try to discourage you. Don't listen to them, you could do what they do with better results. Honestly they get way overpaid for nothing and they don't care for your interests and put a happy face in front of you. They are LEECHES.
Highly recommend ByTheOwner.com. Only minor situation that we saw was that the service is geared more toward someone selling a home not a condo but we have seen improvements into selling condos.
