Owners’ comments
Pretty country style house located on a dead-end street in a charming private neighborhood. 15 minutes from the bridges, with a partial view of the river, this cedar-shingled house will charm you with its abundant windows, its large terrace, its annexed excavated garage, its large front covered balcony and its huge private lot.
The master bedroom on the mezzanine overlooking the living space on the ground floor with its 23 feet high wooden slatted cathedral ceiling opens the view to magnificent sunsets thanks to its west wall, completely fenestrated. Its triple "Low-E" windows as well as a hot air central heating system with air recirculation keep your house cool in summer and warm in winter.
In the center of the open area, a 55,000 BTU cast iron catalytic-burning wood stove also gives you a soft heat that stays at the right level thanks to the 2 ceiling fans.
The bathroom with independent ceramic shower and podium bath, the office and the laundry room with deep sink and linen chute, all located on the ground floor, have privacy tiled doors.
The kitchen offers plenty of storage with these full height oak cabinets and these 2 pantries. Its central island and double sink are also assets.
The terrace, built in 2014, is 28 feet deep with integrated spa and pool, has a covered part allowing you to enjoy the exterior longer.
The 20 x 28 feet anexed garage built in 2011 has a remote controlled door of 10 feet wide X 8 feet high on the ground floor and an exit on the rear terrace. It has a sink with hot and cold water, its own 60 Amp electrical distribution and a 5,000 Watt dragon as a heating system. In the basement, where you can communicate inside the house, there is a 7-foot garage door that overlooks the back lot. You can access the attic of this garage by a retractable staircase. Constructed of semi-habitable framework, there is a floor where one circulates upright and a lot of storage space.
The 32-foot x 5-foot front gallery, also built in 2011, has an awning and allows you to admire the morning sun while enjoying your coffee.
Undeniably, this house located in a quiet area has a lot of appeal and a special character... and you may be the future owners!
