Le bois (environ 12 acres sur les 18) abrite une faune variée: chevreuils, dindons sauvages, renards et lièvres côtoient des dizaines d'espèces d'oiseaux.
La flore est riche, le bois cache des trésors: champignons, sabots de la vierge ou gingembre sauvage sans parler de l'érablière qui, lentement, se densifie.
Un étang baignable attire les malards et les rats musqués au printemps alors qu'il est visité toute la belle saison par les hérons gris, les martin-pêcheurs et les butors.
La maison chaleureuse, de style régime français, s'est bien modernisée au fil du temps. Le garage a changé d'allure aussi puisqu'il accueille maintenant une grande salle polyvalente, le dojo, au-dessus duquel il y a une chambre à finir d'aménager.
