Car le terrain a un emplacement stratégique enviable. Le site, le site, le site. Voilà l'une des choses les plus importantes en immobilier. J'ai bien saisi ce principe depuis longtemps. Remarquez sa localisation sur le plan couleur (voir photo, lot no 357), il se situe en face d'un ilot boisé naturel de 2 229 mètres carrés. Aucun voisin immédiat en façade. Tout comme, aucun voisin immédiat arrière ni côté nord. Avec une superficie boisée vacante arrière de 2 520 mètres carrés, Voilà un terrain avec grande intimité.
Permettez-moi de vous raconter une petite histoire et vous expliquer comment j'ai fait la découverte de cette localisation exceptionnelle. Pendant plusieurs années, je passais tout près à tous les jours de la semaine pour mon travail, sans connaitre ce coin de nature. Demeurant sur l'île de Montréal, cela faisait quelque temps que je recherchais un terrain pour me construire, mais en vain. Rien ne rencontrait mes critères rigoureux. Comme par hasard, en furetant sur internet, j'ai remarqué un nouveau développement domiciliaire en cours. Je suis allé sur les lieux, c'était l'hiver 2008, avec une abondance de neige comme on avait rarement vu, c'est à peine si on voyait les devantures des maisons. J'ai immédiatement eu un coup de foudre. Cependant, j'avais vite remarqué que le développement était passablement avancé et qu'il ne restait plus beaucoup de terrains disponibles sur le marché. En communiquant avec le constructeur Domicil, il confirma ma première impression; les plus beaux terrains étaient vendus ou construits.
C'était trop beau pour être vrai ! En approfondissant mes recherches, ma balloune s'est davantage vite dégonflée lorsque sur Google Map, j'ai découvert qu'il y avait une piste de go-kart à proximité. No way, over my dead body ! On m'aurait donné un terrain afin de me construire et je n'aurais jamais accepté une telle proposition. Cependant, le constructeur Domicil, a pris soin de me préciser que l'emplacement du go-kart était en voie d'expropriation.
