Reflecting the shifting trends in real estate marketing, ComFree, the largest and most visited Commission Free Real Estate network in Canada, today announced that 100,000 homes have now been sold via its network.

"Hitting this milestone means that we have been able to empower and assist even more Canadians through the sale of their property in the most effective and profitable way for them," says Patrick Sullivan, general manager and vice-president, ComFree. "We are thrilled to say that we’ve helped so many Canadians with what is likely the biggest and most important transaction in their lifetime."

In 2011 alone, more than 9,000 properties have been sold by consumers using ComFree. Website traffic has increased 500 per cent during the last five years and the online network receives more than three million visits per month.

Dianne Rozak, a long-time Southeast Edmonton resident, recently listed her three bedroom, one-and-a-half storey home on ComFree’s commission free network, and just 25 days later the home, ComFree’s 100,000th, had sold.

"Selling my home privately was the best thing I have ever done," said Rozak. "Within the first few days I had three offers and my home received nearly 2,000 views online. I had the visibility I needed to do this myself, though with the support I received I never felt that I was doing it on my own."

Not only did Rozak sell her home for more than her asking price, she saved nearly $20,000 in commission. The entire deal, which included the ComFree package, MLS listing and all-inclusive marketing including a front yard sign, cost her just $1,450.

"Many years ago we saw a need in the Canadian marketplace and we answered it," says Sullivan. "Today, we are helping meet that need more than ever before by putting the power back in the hands of the homeowner."
