Beautiful one and a half story house located on an enchanting site. Space, tranquility and fantastic starry skies away from light pollution: just what you are looking for!
The house was built in 1935 and has always been very well maintained. Numerous renovations and additions have been conducted over the last 20 years including the foundation with French drain (2003), the basement, the electric box, the addition of a central vacuum, the insulation of the second floor, the major part of the plumbing, fenestration and roofing, a septic tank with purifying field, for a total of about $60,000. There is also a cold room and a wood room of 10' x 10'.
The heart of the house is the 1951 wooden stove. Still functional, it contributes to the heating of the house and gives it a unique character. In addition, the veranda in front of the house (there is also a smaller one behind the house) is a very pleasant place to relax and chat. With three beautiful bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs and lots of open space in the basement with a bathroom and a water cabinet, the house offers several options for interior design.
The house is built on a large lot of 200 x 300 feet. As the land is bordered by the Anse-à-Beau-Fils River to the south, the land is bigger than the recorded measure. There are lots of trees, wildflowers and a nice vegetable garden. Three outbuildings: a three-seasons cottage of 16' x 20' equipped with a toilet and a sink, a garage of 16' x 20' and a small shed of about 5' x 5', formerly a smoking room.
