I designed and built this house to raise my children and be close to my immediate family. It was also necessary to think about accommodations: grocery store, hospital, bicycle path, schools, park.
Now that the kids are gone, I decided to get away from this beautiful property.
This stunning 4 bedroom 2 bathroom home is lovingly maintained. Repainted 1 year ago, the thermos windows were changed in 2016 and an extension to the rear balcony in 2018. The exterior facade of the stone house and a majestic rock in the middle of the terrain give a special character.
The kitchen is our family gathering place. There is a central island to prepare meals or simply have a wine-cheese aperitif. The kitchen has been furnished with everything at hand; stove, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, grinder, gigantic pantry, large drawers for cauldrons and ?too many plastic dishes?, small drawers for aluminum foil or parchment boxes, bread box and large cabinets for storing cookbooks, spices and electrical appliances.
The gas fireplace, while providing a warm atmosphere, also serves as an additional heating to the propane gas furnace in the event of a power failure. The heat pump is an economical way to both heat and air conditioning. Gas also serves the outdoor BBQ.
During breakfast, dinner breaks or late evenings, the large rear balcony with the continuity of the cover allows you to settle in without being caught by the rain. The roof dates from the year of construction and according to an evaluation it is not to be redone in the immediate future.
Let's not forget the heated garage furnished with wardrobes included. The land has an irrigation system so that the lawn is always green and flowers and herbs do not die of thirst during the summer. The outdoor timer makes it possible to illuminate the house and close automatically at bedtime.
J'ai dessiné et fait construire cette maison pour y élever mes enfants et être près de ma famille immédiate. Il fallait aussi penser aux accommodations : épicerie, hôpital, piste cyclable, écoles, parc.
Maintenant que les enfants sont partis, j'ai décidé de me défaire de cette magnifique propriété.
Cette superbe maison de 4 chambres à coucher et 2 salles de bain est entretenue avec amour. Repeinte il y a 1 an, les vitres thermos ont été changées en 2016 et une rallonge au balcon arrière en 2018. La façade extérieure de la maison en pierre et une roche majestueuse au milieu du terrain donnent un cachet particulier.
La cuisine est notre lieu de rassemblement familial. On y trouve un îlot central permettant de préparer les repas ou tout simplement d'y prendre l'apéro vin-fromage. La cuisine a été aménagée avec tout à portée de main; fourneau, micro-ondes, réfrigérateur, lave-vaisselle, broyeur, garde-manger gigantesque, grands tiroirs pour les chaudrons et les «trop de plats de plastiques», petits tiroirs pour les boîtes de papier aluminium ou parchemin, boîte à pain et grandes armoires pour le rangement des livres de recettes, les épices et les appareils électriques.
Le foyer au gaz, tout en donnant une ambiance chaleureuse, sert aussi de chauffage d'appoint à la fournaise au gaz propane en cas de panne de courant. La thermopompe est un moyen économique autant à la chaleur qu'à l'air climatisé. Le gaz dessert aussi le BBQ extérieur.
Pendant le petit déjeuner, les pauses dîner ou les fins de soirée, le grand balcon arrière avec la continuité de la couverture permet de s'y installer sans se faire prendre par la pluie. La toiture date de l'année de construction et selon une évaluation elle n'est pas à refaire dans l'immédiat.
N'oublions pas le garage chauffé et meublé d'armoires incluses. Le terrain est pourvu d'un système d'irrigation pour que la pelouse soit toujours verte et que les fleurs et fines herbes ne meurent pas de soif durant l'été. La minuterie extérieure permet d'illuminer la maison et de se fermer automatiquement au moment du coucher.
