Superb high-end renovated house in charming NDG neighborhood with extensive windows and surprisingly large private tree-lined backyard. The house has been completely redesigned by the famous Architecture firm Nature Humaine in 2018. The house has a minimalist and Scandinavian design.

The goal we wanted to achieve with this house from the '50s was to open up spaces while maximizing living volumes. The kitchen, with its quartz oversized island that can host 5 people, has become the central element articulated around three wooden "blocks" or integrated furniture all handmade by a cabinetmaker. The Fisher Paykel refrigerator and dishwasher are also integrated into the kitchen furniture. The oven and induction cooktop is also Fisher Paykel make.  

The rear exterior wall has been replaced by oversized windows (from floor to ceiling), letting a maximum of light into the house.  The backyard is ideally oriented south-west and always full of natural light.  In the living room, one can see a maple wood block with an integrated library that extends into a big entryway wardrobe closet.  The other two "blocks" made from the same type of wood correspond to the kitchen cabinetry and dining room buffet.  

On the second floor, you will notice a large refined family bathroom. Again, integrated cabinets are displayed throughout. The shower space is very large, completely made of ceramic tiles, and with high-end bathroom fittings. One can never feel cluttered in this bathroom.

In the backyard, one can see a new large cedar terrasse with integrated raised bed gardens and a bench. It's the ideal location for family summertime BBQs.  Even the garage was transformed into a mudroom and a TV room. The basement was also renovated into a family room or exercise room with a full bathroom.
