There's an elementary school nearby: Saint-Bernardin, also a high school: Joseph-François Perrault and all of the other necessities you need like grocery stores, pharmacy, CLSC and many more. If you have a car, there is outdoor parking, but also a garage perfect for winter. If public transport is more your speed, metro Saint-Michel is a nice 10-minute walk.
