La maison a fait l'objet de rénovations au fil des années, dont la toiture, la salle de bain et la terrasse. Plusieurs fenêtres ont également été changées.

La maison est située à proximité des principaux services (écoles, garderies, épiceries, transports en commun, etc.), axes routiers et pistes cyclables. Le quartier est agréable, avec un bon voisinage, beaucoup de gens y marchent ou y font du jogging.
Il y a des bureaux d'Hydro-Québec devant la maison, mais cela n'est aucunement dérangeant, même qu'on préfère cela. Le stationnement est d'ailleurs rarement plein; c'est là que nos enfants ont appris à faire du vélo! Des gens y vont parfois avec leur chien.
