Owners’ comments
This chalet is located in Laterrière, 15 minutes from Chicoutimi and La Baie, two major cities of Saguenay. This proximity is a definite advantage for the new owners, since they have direct access to a flourishing nature while quickly benefiting from all the services offered by a large city: pharmacy, shopping center, garage, golf club, hardware store, ski resort, gas station, restaurant, primary and secondary schools, medical center, airport, highway, outdoor center, vegetable kiosks on the farm in summer, day camps for children, daycare, grocery store, etc.
This chalet occupies the land of a former family estate which has delighted many families. It is surrounded by six other chalets inhabited year round or which serve as second homes for summer vacations.
In 2014, the chalet was almost completely renovated and decoration work were made. Charming, comfortable with a small solarium, year-round habitable, no neighbors behind or ahead, privacy and tranquility await you. A small terrace, a grassy area fitted out for making fires or gardening are other assets that you can enjoy. In winter, the chalet is comfortable, the fireplace warms and illuminates hearts and evenings. The road is passable and the snowmobile, ski and snowshoe trails are not too far.
The Girard Lake property comes with lake access and a dock shared between six owners for swimming and fishing. You should know that this lake is nourished by underground sources which give it unparalleled clarity.
In the heart of a city forest, the song of frogs, starry skies, campfires, canoe or pedal boat rides, swimming, fishing, nature walks, meeting with small wild animals at dawn, all this could become your daily life in this little corner of paradise that is Lake Girard. A multitude of wild berries are also at your fingertips.
On the outskirts of Lake Girard, municipal services are available at the end of the road and the town of Laterrière takes care of the maintenance and snow removal of the main road. An association of owners, of which you will be a part, meets each year to look after other maintenance needs, safety, the environment and the well-being of all. The lake is also stocked thanks to the good care of the association.
