This house has a story. It is part of three ancestral houses that were saved from demolition following a commercial development project on Albert Street. Des rénovations pour conserver sa beauté
Cette maison a une histoire. Elle fait partie de trois maisons ancestrales qui ont été sauvées de la démolition suite à un projet de développement commercial sur la rue Albert. Elles ont été relocalisées sur la rue Victoria en 1989. Un coup assise sur une fondation de béton, la belle ancestrale à toit mansardé, eut un coup de jeunesse et débuta une nouvelle vie !
Depuis, de nombreuses rénovations ont été faites. Mais en 2008, l'actuelle propriétaire entreprend d'importantes rénovations à l'intérieur afin que la maison redevienne unifamiliale. Au rez-de-chaussée; la cuisine et de nouvelles armoires, création d'un garde-robe à l'entrée, une salle d'eau. Construction d'un escalier pour accéder au deuxième étage. Au deuxième, deux chambres, une salle de bain avec grande douche, une salle de lavage et un boudoir avec accès extérieur.
En 2011, construction d'un cabanon isolé de 16' x 16'.
En 2012, elle est admise au programme de subvention des maisons patrimoniales de ville Saguenay.
En 2013, le pavé de la terrasse, la grande galerie avant, son garde-corps et gouttière ont été remis à neuf.
En 2015, le brisis de la toiture mansardée et ses 9 lucarnes ont subits une cure de jeunesse et le chauffe-eau a été changé.
En 2016, un large escalier nous amène au sous-sol qui a été fini de gypse et de lambris. On y retrouve une salle d'eau sécurisée par un clapet, un garde-robe de cèdre, une bibliothèque en pin fixée au mur, une salle de couture ou walk-in et une grande salle familiale avec comptoir et évier et une sortie extérieure.
En 2017, les 4 côtés extérieurs de la maison revêtus de briques ont été nettoyés et imperméabilisés. Au bas des murs extérieurs, le mortier des pierres des champs a été refait.
