You will be charmed as much as we are by this magnificent, warm and bright country house.
The high ceilings and woodwork on the ground floor bring this authentic side of old houses. The first floor was completely renovated in 2022--23, in order to redo the insulation, electricity, plumbing and divisions. The large shower/laundry room on the ground floor has plenty of space to add a shower or bath
.The former summer kitchen was transformed into a family room by the previous owners who lived there for 60 years, by the way! The old cold room, completely intact, is surprisingly very effective! The basement, although it is low (67"), will allow you to heat the house using the wood stove and store all your wood there for the winter. A cellar descent at the back allows the wood to easily enter.
One of our favorite features is the outdoor gazebo, which is just big enough and charming. The land and the area are also well wooded, bringing freshness in summer. The land is in the shape of a point, bordered on both sides by two small streams with very low flow in summer. They both flow into the Bécancour River a little further down. A large grassed plain at the back will allow you to carry out your projects

Les hauts plafonds et les boiseries du rez-de-chaussée amènent ce côté authentique des vieilles maisons. L'étage a complètement été refait à neuf en 2022-2023, afin de refaire l'isolation, l'électricité, la plomberie et les divisions. La grande salle d'eau/lavage du rez-de-chaussée possède amplement d'espace pour y ajouter une douche ou un bain.
L'ancienne cuisine d'été a été transformée en salle familiale par les anciens propriétaires qui y sont demeurés 60 ans, soit dit en passant! L'ancienne chambre froide, totalement intacte, est surprenamment très efficace! Le sous-sol, bien qu'il soit bas (67''), vous permettra de chauffer la maison à l'aide du poêle à bois et d'y stocker tout votre bois pour l'hiver. Une descente de cave à l'arrière permet d'y entrer le bois facilement.
Un des atouts que nous préférons est le gazebo extérieur, juste assez grand et charmant. Le terrain et le secteur sont d'ailleurs bien boisés, apportant fraîcheur en été. Le terrain est en forme de pointe, bordé de part et d'autre par deux petits cours d'eau à très faible débit en été. Ils se jettent tous les deux dans la rivière Bécancour un peu plus bas. Une grande plaine gazonnée vers l'arrière vous permettra de réaliser vos projets.
