Owners’ comments
Beautifully renovated condominium by it's present owners. Right downtown Saint-André, this appartment offers an impressive amount of sunlight. Exotic hard wood floors of Brasilian Sucupira, one of the most dense, durable and beautiful hard wood on the market, energy efficient windows with shutter mechanism replaced in 2012. Interesting space, unusually long (75 feet) mixing a european style living room filled with light and a partial view of the Mountain , with a more country feel kitchen and dining room area. Skylight, brick wall and tiles in the bathroom, another white painted brick wall is featured in the second bedroom. A long brick wall also runs the entire entrance staircase. The many textures, heights of the space culminate with the original exposed wood 11 foot angled ceiling of the kitchen. An original structural wood wall also is exposed in the dining room area. Kitchen with quartz counter top, double sink and Italian tiles (stainless appliances, double door fridge and stove in impeccable condition included). The large back yard is directly connected to a park. The back area of the house is surprisingly open, considering it's downtown location.
An usually long deck, (25 feet) a reminder of it's historical past of this house built around 1875. St-Jacques Market that is offrering a strong selection of fine foods and an ambitious real estate project is a 2 min walk, Berri/UQÀM Metro station and UQÀM University, the Grande bibliothèque, rue St-Denis, the new CHUM and Parc Lafontaine or the Old Port are also within a few minutes walk. This very urban neigborhood is one of the city's most vibrant. An impressive, huge maple tree in the back of the house and the neighboring mature poplar trees make for totally green environnent in the summer. The large garden area of the property is bordered by two large mature gardens, a fourth garden is to replace the large parking visible from the back porch, by the green revitalising initiative Sentier Urbains. Exterior parking space is also included
Financing with the Caisse Populaire Montréal-Nord, 80%, very low taxes due to the status of co-propriété indivise.
