This is a bright one bedroom condo for rent on the Plateau. It is a 5 minute walk from a popular hiking and mountain biking trail in the Gatineau Park. There are also several city parks and a community garden nearby.
The unit comes with high end kitchen appliances (range, dishwasher and fridge with ice maker). The kitchen counters are a neutral coloured granite and has a double sink. There is a large pantry with pull out shelving.
The full bathroom has a large laundry closet with built-in shelving.
Washer & Dryer are included.
The hot water is provided by an on demand hot water tank - this allows for unlimited hot water with a more eco friendly footprint.
The flooring has recently been updated throughout the unit with a commercial grade vinyl plank, installed to avoid unnecessary transitions.
The bedroom has a large closet with adjustable wire shelving. This acted as a closet for my clothing, as well as all of my crafts and my home office.
The unit is well soundproofed allowing for a very cozy night sleep. Dark blue blackout curtains are included for the bedroom if wanted. Wall to wall curtains in a neutral colour are included in the living room if wanted. They span the full door and window wall, allowing for a very private and cozy feel. The unit is also very well soundproofed. I never heard the neighbors.
There is an outdoor storage shed with built in shelving for all of your long term storage needs.
There is a central air exchanger throughout the entire home, as well as a built in air conditioner.
The patio is south facing and gets excellent sun exposure. There is a garden box that can either be maintained by the owner, or you can try your green thumb and grow your own plants in the warmer months. The built in cedar framework can be screened in for the summer months so you can enjoy more bug free living space (screens included if desired). This allowed my cat to sunbathe freely while giving me peace of mind that she couldn't go out into the road.
The rent includes:
one parking spot - currently directly in front of the unit. It is also on the bus route of the 26, 326, 426, 726, 734 and 826.
Snow clearing from the parking lot, walkways and stairs throughout the winter.
All grounds are maintained (except for the garden box in front of the patio)
