Certificate of localisation
The certificate of localisation describes the state of the property and outlines the current condition of the terrain, the principal building and any other smaller structures on the property. The certificate aims to measure the condition of the property with regards to current laws and regulations.
The notary will determine if a new certificate of localisation is necessary for the real estate transaction. However, in general a new certificate of localisation is required after 5 to 10 years.
