If you're looking for a place 1.5 hours from Montreal where tranquility is everywhere, where nature literally starts at the end of the field, where mountain views are a part of everyday life, and where a tranquil lake and beach are less than a 10-minute walk away, welcome to Lugano Mountain.
We fell in love with this house seven years ago. Since then, we have completely renovated it, with care, attention and precision, using noble and durable materials. We made it our haven of peace. Today, new projects are calling us and we are looking for those who will want to take advantage of them in turn, and to continue this love story a bit.
The house is firmly anchored in the rock, on a concrete slab in excellent condition. It is spread over two floors, with a configuration that is a bit the opposite of traditional houses... and that's exactly what makes up part of its charm!
On the ground floor are the three bedrooms, a laundry room, as well as a bathroom with ceramic (wall and ceiling) and glass shower. The entire ground floor is equipped with heated floors, which is particularly pleasant after returning from a day outside in the middle of winter.
Upstairs, we discover the heart of the house: a huge open living area combining kitchen, dining room and living room. This is where we spend our days, in front of a spectacular view of the mountains, framed by two huge windows over six feet
.In the evening, the living room is transformed into a home theater thanks to the installation with projector, while the wood stove warms the room. In winter, when the snow is falling outside and the fire is burning inside, the place becomes quite difficult to leave.
The land, which is over 110,000 ft2, looks directly onto Crown land: a huge playground for hiking, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing. We leave directly from the house to join wild trails, explore the forest and discover small isolated lakes.
And when the urge to swim arrives, the lake and the domain's beach are only a few minutes' walk away.
Very close to Morin-Heights and Lac-des-Seize-Îles, the house also makes it easy to enjoy everything that the Laurentians have to offer, summer and winter.
For do-it-yourselfers, athletes or simply those who like to have space, two very well-sized garages allow you to store tools, equipment and recreational vehicles in a safe place.

Si vous cherchez un endroit à 1 h 15 de Montréal où la tranquillité est omniprésente, où la nature commence littéralement au bout du terrain, où la vue sur les montagnes fait partie du quotidien et où un lac et une plage tranquilles se trouvent à moins de 10 minutes à pied, bienvenue sur la montagne Lugano.
Nous sommes tombés amoureux de cette maison il y a maintenant sept ans. Depuis, nous l'avons entièrement rénovée, avec soin, attention et précision, en privilégiant des matériaux nobles et durables. Nous en avons fait notre havre de paix. Aujourd'hui, de nouveaux projets nous appellent et nous cherchons ceux ou celles qui auront envie d'en profiter à leur tour, et de poursuivre un peu cette histoire d'amour.
La maison est solidement ancrée dans le roc, sur une dalle de béton en excellent état. Elle se déploie sur deux étages, avec une configuration un peu à l'inverse des maisons traditionnelles... et c'est justement ce qui fait une partie de son charme!
Au rez-de-chaussée se trouvent les trois chambres, une salle de lavage, ainsi qu'une salle de bain avec céramique (mur et plafond) et douche vitrée. Tout le rez-de-chaussée est doté d'un plancher chauffant, particulièrement agréable au retour d'une journée dehors en plein hiver.
À l'étage, on découvre le coeur de la maison : une immense aire de vie ouverte réunissant cuisine, salle à manger et salon. C'est là qu'on passe nos journées, devant une vue spectaculaire sur les montagnes, encadrée par deux immenses fenêtres de plus de six pieds.
Le soir, le salon se transforme en cinéma maison grâce à l'installation avec projecteur, pendant que le poêle à bois réchauffe la pièce. L'hiver, quand la neige tombe dehors et que le feu brûle à l'intérieur, l'endroit devient assez difficile à quitter.
Le terrain de plus de 110 000 pieds2 donne directement sur les terres de la Couronne : un immense terrain de jeu pour la randonnée, la raquette et le ski de fond. On part directement de la maison pour rejoindre des sentiers sauvages, explorer la forêt et découvrir de petits lacs isolés.
Et quand l'envie de se baigner arrive, le lac et la plage du domaine sont à quelques minutes de marche seulement.
Tout près de Morin-Heights et du Lac-des-Seize-Îles, la maison permet aussi de profiter facilement de tout ce que les Laurentides ont à offrir, été comme hiver.
Pour les bricoleurs, les sportifs ou simplement ceux qui aiment avoir de l'espace, deux garages de très bonnes dimensions permettent de ranger outils, équipements et véhicules de loisir à l'abri.
Remis à neuf : électricité, plomberie, isolation, murs gypes et peinture, plancher de bois et céramique, plancher chauffant, cuisine et salle de bain complète, 75% des fenêtres et portes, réservoir d'eau chaude et pompe du puit.
