One of a kind private island for sale including a small log cabin and a shed built in the mid '50s. It is located on the Kiamika Reservoir about 90 Km North/West of Tremblant village. To get there, you will need a boat, ideally 16 feet or more. At the lake's edge, you will find an outfitter (Pouvoirie Cécaurel) where you'll find: car and boat parking, (payable) Gas, a small convenience store. Exterior winter storage space available. (Payable)The Island is about 8 km from the outfitters base. Also, it includes a small storage shed at the edge of the lake. (Payable)

For each stay over the youll need to bring food and ice and normal household supplies. There is an Old-style ice/fridge to store perishables (see photo). Lighting is accomplished with several oil lamps and a Gaz light. There is an originally built fireplace, made entirely with regional rocks. The floor is original and made of oak. There is a wood stove who can also be used for cooking. We also use a gas cooking surface. The kitchen is equipped with many cupboards and storage space. The cabin has 4 double bunk and a sofa-bed allowing 8 or more people to sleep comfortably. The cabin floor is original and made of Oak.

Note: The cabin structure requires a substantial renovation on all faces. Here are 2 option suggestions.
Option1: Replace 3 walls with new tailor-made logs. The front could take a makeover and fresh paint. Build a new foundation. The roof was entirely redone in 1995.
There are several log cabin makers in the region and it is possible one of them could cut and match the existing log in need of replacement.
Option 2: Demolition and full reconstruction. If you wish to go that route, you will be subjected to reconstruction municipal and provincial applicable laws. It is strongly recommended to contact the Rivière Rouge municipality to enquire and clarify a re-construction strategy and implications before making any offer.
Additional sale conditions: The island and its cabin as being part of our family since 1962. We wish to sell it to someone who will not be allowed to transform it into a tourist/rental attraction. The sale contact will stipulate this condition and will also include the same condition in case the actual seller sells it afterward. Our wish is to keep it as a peaceful and magical place to be. It is recommended for any potential buyer to enquire at the municipal and provincial level prior to any modification, reconstruction to get the proper authorization ands permits.
