Located on approximately 18 acres of land, the property includes a two-story house, a detached garage-workshop, a pond and an equipped artisanal sugar shack, on a peaceful and quiet site far from any major community.
Geography and distances
The property is located in the heart of Estrie, less than an hour from Montreal (55 minutes) and 10 minutes from the Autoroute des Cantons Lest (A10). It is located halfway between Bromont and Eastman (Orford), about 15 minutes from each of them and 20 minutes west of Magog.
Entertainment and activities nearby
In addition to being less than an hour from Montreal, this location is close to the ski and entertainment resorts of Bromont (15 min.), Orford (20 min.), Owls Head (25min.) and Sutton (30 min.) as well as Brome, Memphrémagog, Stukely, Orford, Bowker, Massawippi and others lakes. Détails concernant la Propriété
Ce petit domaine offre sans contredit lune des plus belles vues de tous les Cantons de lest, sur le massif du mont Orford qui est juste en face vers l'Est. On peut notamment y observer des levers de lune spectaculaires lors des « pleines lunes » mensuelles ou encore les étoiles filantes lors des périodes propices telles les Perséides au mois d'août puisque l'absence d'agglomération importante à proximité offre un ciel qui n'est pas affecté par la pollution lumineuse.
La maison construite vers 1987 est de style québécois traditionnel et a été en grande partie rénovée par les propriétaires actuels. Ces rénovations ont été effectuées dans le respect de l'architecture traditionnelle afin de donner l'aspect dune maison ancienne typique. Ainsi le revêtement extérieur de vinyle a été remplacé par du déclin de bois « Maibec », la toiture en bardeau d'asphalte remplacée par une toiture de tôle de galvalume », les lucarnes ont été redessinées, une véranda avec une couverture en bardeau de cèdre a été ajoutée et toutes les portes remplacées par des unités de grande qualité.
