Chalet all in wood with generous windows and lots of light, views of nature, 4 seasons, located on a cul-de-sac with little traffic, with three notarized accesses to Lake Godon (without motor) where there is a sandy beach to facilitate swimming.
This chalet is perfect for anyone looking for tranquility and nature, close to services and leisure. Featuring a large one acre lot, the chalet is located on a flat plot with a beautiful adjacent courtyard surrounded by mature trees. A stream crosses the land to feed Godon Lake, located opposite the property on the other side of the road. The hillside to the west is also part of the land, covered with forest. No neighbors in the back.
The chalet was completely rebuilt in 2011, with improvements over time. It has two extra large bedrooms, as well as an additional large bed located in the open space on the 2nd floor adjacent to a family area. This space can easily be converted into an office or an additional bedroom. The ground floor is open concept (over 600 square feet) and woodwork is ubiquitous, including barn wood recovered from the former cottage. The kitchen is well equipped and fits in the middle of living spaces combining living room, dining room and relaxation area.
In recent months, the owner has installed a heat pump which is expected to lower the already relatively low heating costs. A slow burning stove adds to the atmosphere of the ground floor during the cold period. The front balcony has just been redone.
75 minutes from Montreal, the chalet is accessible on paved roads from one end to the other, so regularly cleared snow by municipalities. You can get there via Ste-Agathe then 329 Nord, or by St-Faustin and the path of Lac Quenouille (Ptit Bonheur). The Ptit Bonheur's cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and hiking trails can be reached directly at the end of the beach path. The certificate of location has been recently updated.
