Owners’ comments

Bi-generational property located in Rougemont on large land with a lake and a private beach. Geothermal system, 3 fireplaces, heated floors, propane gas. The land allows different possibilities: agriculture, organic farming, greenhouses, etc.  Furthermore,  an acquired right permits to build a second house and detach a lot.

RENOVATIONS: 

  • ·2011:  attic organized for storage
  • ·2012: basement totally renovated  (electricity and plumbing) total construction and enlargement into a bi-generational property / geothermal system installed.
  • ·2014: renovation and enlargement of the bathroom on the first floor  / electric board;
  • ·2016: the main floor totally renovated including kitchen, plumbing, and electricity;
  • ·2017: roof redone in sheet metal.
  • ·2019: septic tank (hydro-kinetik)
  •  2020: the landscape of the back yard totally re-arranged /  maintenance of the exterior wooden parts/maintenance of  rock wall joints / French drains updated / maintenance of foundation/basement shower redone / installation of water softener system /  submersible sump pump  with a battery;
  • ·2020 : wooden floor installed on the first floor and also new stairs etc.
  • ·2020:  basement and first floor painted 
  • ·2020: gutters and leaf guards installed.

The geothermal system is used for both heatings and for the air conditioning of the house. It also heats the floor and keeps the wine cellar cold.

Slow combustion fireplace gives optimal comfort to the main floor.

The basement (bi-generation ) floor is entirely water heated.

The floors on the main floor are entirely heated electrically.

The lake is 150 X  35 feet, has an aerator, a 35 X 35 beach, and an elevated terrace

Property located near Highways 20 and 10.  And also is located near Chambly Terminal which takes us to Montreal fast and easy.
