The Property: A beautiful cottage property facing Northwest on sought-after McGregor Lake. One-half acre of heavily forested land. Excellent weed-free waterfront with deep water and a small sandy beach. McGregor Lake is a large, controlled-access lake with a strong owners' lake association situated in Val-des-Monts, Quebec, just 25 minutes from Ottawa.
The Cottage: The property features a comfortable, three-season cottage with cedar siding and knotty cedar interior throughout. A generous front deck overhangs Lake McGregor which is just a few steps below the cottage level. The cottage is insulated. Heat is provided by an air-tight wood stove and two larger electric heaters in the living area, and electric baseboards in the bedrooms. Water supply is from the lake. The driveway is paved as is the municipal road above. The road is winter-maintained by the municipality, which also provides garbage and recyclable collection.
The Lake: The water in McGregor Lake is clean and clear. The Municipality and the Lake Association coordinate extensive environmental programs to control lake access, water quality, and other environmental considerations. The waterfront features a large floating dock. The depth at the outer end of the dock is 10 feet or so, allowing worry free diving and care free cannon balls.
