Owners’ comments
In the heart of the Eastern Townships, halfway between Bromont and Mont-Orford and just one hour from Montreal, discover a beautiful property lovingly, small country estate of 7 acres, maintained and enhanced by the current owners since they acquired it in 2003.
Over that period, the roof, electrical and water filtration systems have all been redone or overhauled as well as the modern kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms and many windows around the house. A small adjacent barn has been converted into an insulated and heated garage, the upper floor being used as storage for garden furniture and seasonal items.
Mature trees line the property on both sides and many others, including several apple trees, were planted here and there in order to form various shady areas. The central axis is kept completely clear though, so nothing obstructs the impressive view on some twenty kilometers of green countryside, with Mount Orford in the background.
To better enjoy swimming and barbecuing al fresco, an additional terrace was built last year next to the private lake. Fed by a stream and subterranean sources, the lake itself is about 14,000 square feet (1,300 m2). A sufficient vegetation strip was maintained on the perimeter to filter water and keep it perfectly clean for swimming at all times.
