Owners’ comments
1,110 square foot condo located on the 2nd and 3rd (last) floors of the building. Very bright due to its large windows and its orientation.
This industrial condo features brick walls in three rooms, slate wood ceilings, apparent pipes, beams and sprinklers and a wood fireplace with a brick mantle.
The first floor comprises the master bedroom with two large closets and a double PAX unit, an open office/reading room, a large closet underneath the stairs where the central air conditioning unit and water heater are located, a bathroom with a separate bath and shower, the entryway with a large closet and the laundry area. Needless to say, there is a lot of storage space!
The second floor features a beautiful open living area, perfect for receiving guests: kitchen with an island and dining counter, dining room, fully functional wood fireplace and living room. The latter gives access to the passageway at the back of the building.
A large locker with shelves is located in the basement and a parking space, large enough for a car and a motorcycle is at the back of the building. The condo fees allows full snow removal in the winter.
The owners of this unit are allowed to build an extra room and terrasse on the roof of the condo, as per an agreement with both the condo association and the city of Montreal.
BUILDING
The James Muir Shoe Company was built at the beginning of the century and converted into 31 condos in 2003. The public spaces and condos are soundproof.
